Organized for the sixth consecutive year, the nationwide Moziünnep (Cinema Celebration) awaits all moviegoers from September 17th to 20th with more than 200 films, in almost all the cinemas of Hungary for a friendly max. 550 HUF ticket (around 2 euros!). Here is your chance to watch one more time the summer smash hits, such as Inglourious Basterds, or films that you missed – like The Reader.  You can attend several premieres and sneak-previews screenings like The Ugly Truth with Kathrin Heigl or, in order to improve your Spanish, the last Almodóvar’s film. Most of the films will be shown in original languages with Hungarian subtitles. Moziünnep offers a unique opportunity to watch a Hungarian oddity with English subtitles, the film 1, an esthetic science-fiction movie based on a Stanislav Lem short-story (yes, he wrote Solaris too).

During Moziünnep not only can watch blockbusters and rare cinephile gems, you can also enjoy a whole lot of colourful programs. What going behind the scene with a visit the engine-house of Bem Moziturkáló? In Puskin you will get a free poster. Corvin cinema organizes a live Harry Potter roleplay (will you catch Voldemort?). You can also attend the brilliant presentations by famous film-critic, András Réz at Mûvész. Fascinted by celibrities? Meet up the Cinema Celebration’s „ambassadors”, the hunky TV celeb Zoltán Szujó and the Olympic swimmer László Cseh ripping… your ticket – only to mention a few!

And most of all, Moziünnep is a good excuse to stay locked in a large dark room with friends and just feast your eyes.
